Nelson Monument

The Nelson Monument is a monument to Admiral Horatio Nelson, in Exchange Flags, Liverpool, England. It was designed by Matthew Cotes Wyatt and sculpted by Richard Westmacott. It stands to the north of the Town Hall and was unveiled in 1813

Memorial Titanic in Toxteth, Liverpool


This memorial is situated on the corner of Mill Street and St. Jame's Place , Toxteth , Liverpool .



It is made from marine plywood, tiled with a mosaic pattern, and is 11 feet long. It has been created by arts group artworksliverpool









Lead artist Alan Murray said: "We chose the theme of the Titanic to commemorate the connection of Liverpool and its people to this tragic yet unique event in maritime history. Everybody has an opinion and emotion about the sinking of the Titanic and the stories connected to it, so we decided to mark the 100 years anniversary with artwork of maritime significance."
